If your age is above 18 and you are an Indian citizen then you should apply for a Voter ID card, Now there is an option that you can apply yourself online in the National Voter portal. Before applying please be noted that you need to keep some documents for uploading as per requirement while applying online.
You need to keep scan copy of i) Address Proof, ii) Identity proof, iii) Age declaration Proof, and a passport size picture.
So, now can start applying online for a voter ID card for which you need to click on this Website, after clicking a new web page will open where you have to log in first if not already or if you do not have an account for the then, you should signup first and logged in.
A new web page will open like shown above, there you need to select register as a new voter again a new web page will open and there you need to give your consent that you reside in India not out of India after that select your state and click on Next. There will be a total of six to seven categories and you have to fill all the categories as requested.
In the first tab where you need to fill in your address details first, you have to choose your constituency and after that, you have to fill in your address detail as per the document you are uploading. Now upload your address proof document and choose the correct document from the drop-down which you have uploaded and click on NEXT. A new window will open shown below.
In the next tab which is Date Of Birth TAB, here you have to fill in your birth detail like your Date Of Birth, Town, Birth state, and district. after that please do upload two documents, i) age proof and ii) age declaration proof, If you do not know about age declaration proof you can download and fill out the form and Scan and upload the same now click on the next TAB for the next detail feeling.
After clicking on next a new window will open and you will be asked to fill out your personal detail and upload your picture. First, fill out your name and any surname which you have already, if not then leave it blank. Next, your Father/Mother/Husband detail fill out his/her name and surname if any present otherwise you can leave that blank. Now you have to upload your passport size photograph and you can preview/adjust as per your requirement and click on next.
There is an additional information TAB will open where you can give your phone number and Email these options are optional, not mandatory, and on the next tab like shown above submit your declaration by giving place name date will be fetched automatically and after clicking on next a preview window will open where you have to preview your detail carefully if everything is good then click on submit.
Your form is submitted and a reference number will be generated from which you a track you status of the application.
