How to make correction in Ration Card online

 

Mistakes may happen but you need to correct that mistakes.

What if you have applied for a ration card and when you received that and found something messy like your name your address etc. You should have to make a correction but How? So, yes you can do it by yourself just by visiting the government authorized website. Here is the Link.

After visiting the food department of west Bengal home page will look like given below on the left side you will find many tabs from there choose Ration card - apply online - and lastly choose to make corrections online which is form 5. Before all these make sure that you have valid proof against this correction because you need to upload such proof while required.

A new web page will open and there you will be asked to put the mobile number, Please be make sure to give the same mobile number which you have given at the time of registration. After typing the mobile number OTP will be received on the number type the same OTP number on the given box and click on proceed.

Again a new web page will open where you can see that all the member's name is present of your family and on the left side you find a Dashboard, now click on dashboard where you will find several options from which you need to click on modify name address as we are going to change the name if you want to change an address for that same option will be clicked. after clicking you can see that at the right side detail are editable now click on required box and fill the required details and give the consent and click on next as shown below.

On the next tab, you have to correct the detail in my case I have to change the name so, I will change the person's name and remaining required details after filling in all the detail you need to upload a supportive document as proof. So, after all the required fields are completed upload the document read the warning and give the consent and click on submit.

Note: - Please be make sure to review all the details which you have submitted carefully because after submitting you will not get an option to edit.

After submitting the form now it is time for verification and the final step, here an OTP will be received and validated the same.
